ABOUT
Lynn McNutt is an artist with a love for adventure that fuels her creativity. She mixes her artistic skills with her adventurous side, making art that's as exciting and varied as her experiences. After a solid career in traditional performance arts, including national tours, Off-Broadway, and heavyweight theatres like Goodspeed Opera House, Kennedy Center and Arena Stage, Lynn took a turn in a new direction. She started crafting her own works, inspired by the tales and ideas she gathered during her solo travels. It was a major change in her career, shifting from performing others' works to showcasing her own unique voice and experiences through different artistic mediums.
While travel and adventure give her endless ideas, Lynn also benefits from her formal education. She earned a BFA in Musical Theatre from Florida State University and an MFA in Acting from The Shakespeare Theatre at George Washington University. She's kept her skills sharp and diverse through continued training in voice, visual arts, clowning, improv, movement, writing, and acting. This synthesis of adventure-fueled inspiration and rigorous training results in art that is not only vibrant and original but also deeply reflective of her experiences and insights.
